The SnapServer N2000 is a high performance, scalable platform for storing both file and block data. This 2U storage array supports up to 12 SAS or SATA drives and delivers proven stability and out-of-the-box integration with Windows, UNIX/Linux, and Macintosh environments. For virtual servers and database applications, the N2000 supports iSCSI block-level access with Microsoft VSS/VDS integration to simplify management. For data protection, the N2000 has the ability to replicate to one or multiple SnapServers, take snapshots for point-in-time recovery, and perform backups to disk, VTL, or tape.

Built on the award-winning GuardianOS™, the N2000 is simple to deploy and manage. Intuitive wizards guide you through installation and the initial creation of storage volumes while a Web-based management console and a full-featured Command Line Interface (CLI) give you flexibility for ongoing administration. The N2000 is also equipped with Overland's SnapServer Manager™, a Java-based utility integrated with GuardianOS that enables you to manage all of your SnapServer, Snap SAN, and REO 4600 VTL devices from a single console.

With the ability to scale from 1.2TB to more than 140TB, you can right-size your storage environment by purchasing only what you need today, and then expand your system as your storage needs grow. Available in confi gurations starting at 1.2TB, the N2000 can easily be expanded to 24TB within the base system and scale to 144TB by adding up to fi ve SnapServer EXP E2000 arrays. With Overland's Instant Capacity Expansion™ (I.C.E.) feature, volume capacity can be increased instantaneously – without downtime or degraded performance. The N2000 supports up to six Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) ports with Ethernet teaming and is equipped with a quad-core Intel processor for unparalled performance.

The N2000 delivers best-in-class integration with Microsoft Active Directory Services (ADS) and UNIX Network Information Service (NIS) to ensure that all of your security and fi le access protocols remain intact. It maintains true native Windows and UNIX permissions and supports all Microsoft Inheritance levels as well as the full set of over 30 distinct Windows permission attributes.

Protected:

The N2000 incorporates a comprehensive set of data protection features. RAID protection guards data in the event of a drive failure while Snap Enterprise Data Replicator™ (Snap EDR) software continuously, securely, and effi ciently replicates data between sites for disaster recovery. You can take snapshots of both NAS volumes and iSCSI LUNs for point-in-time recovery as well as backup to disk, VTL, or tape through integration with leading 3rd party backup applications. Also, with features like hot-swap drives, redundant power, and variable speed hot-swap fans, the N2000 ensures maximum data availability for your business.
